St. Ilija’s hill, once called Perun’s hill after the Old Slavonic god of thunder, and then Monte Vipera (snake hill) will win you over with the abstraction of stone characteristic of the Dalmatian mountains and the unexpected richness of colors as you walk towards the top, from which you can enjoy an unforgettable view of Dalmatia with its countless islands. and the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina and even to Monte Gargano in Italy.
The hill is 961 meters above sea level and represents the highest peak of the Pelješac peninsula. The massif itself is 6.5 km long and 2.5 km wide.
